Tipping

Tipping is typically 10 to 15% at a sit-down restaurant. However, I'm going to advise to tip 15 to 20% because they're working really hard for you, and I think that we should spread the love and spread the money. So, tip like an American when you're in Mexico.

Bread service is actually free!

Oftentimes you'll get free food that come out, like at El Cardenal, you'll get a dish of green salsa with fresh cheese and avocados. Obviously, lots of free bread at restaurants. Sometimes, they'll bring you free juices or free fruits, and here in Mexico City it actually is free, unlike going to a place like Eastern Europe, where they bring it there and they charge you if you eat it. Here, it is actually free!
